Rules and Regulations:
1) Teams will consist of a CHIEF COOK and team members.
2) Lone Star BBQ rules will be followed. Find these rules at
www.lonestarbarbecue.com3) Cookers may enter grounds on August, 21st after 5 p.m. to Friday, August 22nd to set up. Talk to chairman before setting up.
4) Categories to be judged: Pinto Beans, Chicken, Pork Spare/St. Louis Ribs, Pork Butt, and Beef Brisket
5) Meat check will be Friday, August 22nd from 3-5 p.m. Meat must be raw, thawed and
unseasoned.
6) Chief Cooks meeting is Friday, August 22nd at 6:00 PM with Calcutta following at 6:30 PM.
7) JUDGING TIMES ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 23RD: 10:30 AM Pinto Beans; 11:30 AM Chicken; 1:00 PM
Ribs; 2:00 PM Pork Butt; 3:00 PM Brisket; 4:00 PM Steak.
8) 25 x 25 Cooking Area will be provided for each team. ** Extra space is available, talk to the
chairman**
9) No electric hook-ups will be provided. Each team must supply their own equipment/generator.
10) FAYETTE COUNTY FAIR ASSOCIATION WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEFT/DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT LEFT AT THE FAIRGROUNDS.
11) Fires must be of wood/wood substance. No electric or gas fires allowed (gas burner allowed for
cooking beans).
12) The Chief Cook is responsible for their team, guests and cooking area. Excessive drinking or fighting will not be tolerated and will be grounds for disqualification and removal from the grounds by Security. Violators will be banned from cooking at FCF BBQ Events.
13) Team alcoholic beverages are limited to team consumption only and are not to be distributed to guest or visitors. The Fair has organizations selling food and drinks as fundraising projects.
14) ALL ENTRIES & PAYMENTS MUST BE TURNED IN BY AUGUST 22nd. Only the first 50 teams will be taken.
15) Cash and trophies will be awarded.
16) The Chairman has the final decision as situations warrant.
17) CURFEW: Music/guests are off/out by midnight each night.
18) No vehicles, ATV/UTV, Golf Carts, Animals, or Glass allowed in cooking area.
19) Please put your trash in the provided dumpsters and leave your cooking area like you found it.
20) Each team will receive 2 season passes to the Fayette County Fair.
21) KEEP YOUR MUSIC TO YOURSELF – (NOT OTHERS)
